About the Cover

Cover Figure

Cover The cone-like inflorescence of the basal monocot Acorus calamus, comprises many small flowers, and is accompanied by a peculiar leaf (spathe). Refined analyses of EST data generated for species holding key positions in the angiosperm phylogeny provide evidence for genome-wide duplication events throughout the history of flowering plants.
